Vaffel med fiken og ølsaus

Vafler og nøtter er kanskje ikke regnet som kjempetøft, ikke som å steke svære, argentinske pampas-biffer. Men her nærmer vi oss noe, med skikkelig innkokt øl-saus.

 

ca 300 gram hvetemel, eller annet mel

2 egg

1 teskje bakepulver

ca 75 gram smør, smeltet

ca 3 dl melk, gjerne kulturmelk

1 dl hakkede hasselnøtter

1 liten flaske - eller boks! - mørkt øl

1/  teskje finhakket ingefær

2 teskje sukker

4 fiken

 

  • Pisk sammen eggene og bland i mel, bakepulver og melk til en røre, med smøret i. Rør inn hakkede nøtter, spar noe til topping. La røren stå litt før du steker gyldne, gjerne litt mørke vafler.
  • Ha ølet i en kjele og kok det inn til det er igjen to tredjedeler. Ha i sukker og ingefær, og kok videre til det tykner til saus.
  • Dander på tallerken med ring av saus rundt, og dryss på litt ekstra nøtter.
